Brené Brown wrote, "Vulnerability is not winning or losing; it's having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome." That quote has always resonated with me because I believe vulnerability is one of our greatest strengths. Although we're often taught to view vulnerability as weakness, I see it as the foundation for healing, connection, and meaningful growth.
My goal is to create a space where you feel safe to show up exactly as you are. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and I am committed to working alongside you at your own pace while honoring your unique experiences, strengths, and goals. Together, we'll explore the challenges you're facing, build practical coping skills, and work toward creating lasting, meaningful change.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Social Work, with a minor in Psychology, in 2022 before completing my Advanced Standing Master of Social Work program at the University of St. Francis in 2023. My graduate training focused on mental health, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based practices. During my education, I also completed certification in Sexual Assault Prevention through Guardian Angel Community Services.
My clinical experience includes working with at-risk youth and their families, facilitating social-emotional learning groups, supporting older adults, and helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, grief, life transitions, self-esteem, and emotional regulation. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults while creating an environment where clients feel understood, empowered, and supported throughout their healing journey.
As the daughter of immigrants and someone raised in a Hispanic family, I recognize how culture, identity, family systems, and lived experiences shape our understanding of ourselves and the world around us. I approach therapy through a culturally responsive, decolonized lens that centers your story and honors the unique experiences you bring into the therapy room. I also incorporate trauma-informed, somatic, mindfulness-based, and strengths-based interventions to help clients reconnect with themselves and build resilience.
Outside of the therapy office, you'll usually find me cuddled up with my dog, Benito, spending time with loved ones, binge-watching a favorite show, or planning my next adventure.
I look forward to partnering with you as you move toward healing, self-discovery, and a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.
