Finding a way forward can be quite challenging when you are feeling overwhelmed and asking for help can be just as tasking. As a therapist, I believe that connection can be a powerful tool for rediscovering your strength and creating a space for healing. I value the opportunity to hear your story and to walk alongside you in creating a way forward. I believe in empowering and truly connecting with my clients. Most importantly, I believe in meeting you where you are with compassion, empathy, and respect. I am dedicated to helping you achieve the changes that you would like to see.
I have years of experience in providing individual and group therapy to clients coping with an array of life challenges such as depression, mood dysregulation, substance use, anxiety, grief/loss, trauma, PTSD, domestic violence, low self-esteem, and issues of family dynamics. As a retired Navy Corpsman, I also specialize in assisting service members, retirees, and their families in navigating through the many unique challenges specific to the military experience.
I received my Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology from the University of Maryland in 2020 while serving as a psychiatric technician in the military and an addictions counselor. Upon retiring from the military, I completed my Master of Social Work (MSW) through Aurora University, Illinois in 2024. I am a licensed social worker. I am also certified in the state of Illinois as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). I provide individual therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Substance Use Addiction therapy. I enjoy getting to know others and assisting in building a foundation for change.
In my spare time, I love being outdoors, meditating, watching movies, and being with my family and friends. I look forward to joining you on your journey towards healing soon.
