Kathryn Sapoznick is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with more than 15 years of experience helping adults navigate life's challenges with compassion, curiosity, and hope. She works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, life transitions, identity exploration, career challenges, stress, and the pursuit of greater spiritual wellness.
Kathryn takes a holistic, strengths-based, and person-centered approach to therapy, believing that each client possesses the capacity for growth and healing. She values building a trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe, supported, and empowered to explore their experiences openly. Together, she collaborates with clients to identify patterns that contribute to emotional distress, develop healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change. Kathryn believes that increasing self-awareness and understanding can open the door to greater resilience, fulfillment, and a renewed sense of control over one's life.
Known for her warmth, empathy, and compassion, Kathryn is dedicated to helping clients better understand themselves while working through inner conflicts and life's most difficult moments. She welcomes individuals from all backgrounds and cultures and believes that learning and healing are lifelong, transformative processes.
Kathryn earned her Master of Arts in Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University and her Master of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Illinois Chicago. Her background in anthropology provides a unique perspective on the ways culture, identity, relationships, and lived experiences shape how we understand ourselves and the world around us.
